Pakistan Offers Fully Funded Scholarships to 300 Bangladeshi Students

In an effort to strengthen regional ties, the Pakistani government has unveiled a fully funded scholarships program for 300 Bangladeshi students.

This initiative aims to provide opportunities for higher education in a variety of disciplines at some of Pakistan’s top universities.

The scholarships are part of the Pakistan-Bangladesh Friendship Scholarship Programme, which has been introduced to promote academic collaboration and cultural exchange between the two nations.

This program is a continuation of Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to provide similar opportunities to students from Afghanistan and Sri Lanka.

Diverse Academic Opportunities

Under this initiative, students will have access to scholarships across numerous fields, including engineering, medicine, natural sciences, business studies, social sciences, arts, and humanities.

The program is led by Pakistan’s Ministry of Education, which has partnered with a consortium of prestigious institutions such as the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Aga Khan University, and the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST).

Building Bridges Through Education

The Ministry of Education views this scholarship program as more than just an academic opportunity. A spokesperson highlighted that the primary goal is to foster goodwill and build enduring partnerships between Pakistan and

Bangladesh. “This initiative is a step towards creating stronger ties and mutual understanding between our nations,” they shared.

Enhancing Accessibility for Bangladeshi Students

To make the scholarships widely accessible, the program will include educational expos, seminars, and roadshows across Bangladesh in collaboration with local universities.

Furthermore, an exclusive online portal will be launched to simplify the application process, ensuring transparency and ease for prospective students.

Secretary of Education Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani stressed the importance of “educational diplomacy” in promoting regional cooperation.

He described the program as “an investment in harmony and shared progress,” underlining Pakistan’s commitment to fostering positive relationships in the region.

Comprehensive Support for Students

These scholarships are designed to cover tuition fees, living expenses, and other essential costs, offering a holistic support package for the selected students.

This comprehensive approach makes it an appealing opportunity for Bangladeshi youth aspiring to pursue quality higher education abroad.

By extending this initiative, Pakistan not only opens its doors to Bangladeshi students but also strengthens its legacy of using education as a bridge to foster unity, understanding, and shared growth in South Asia.
